Alan S. Haenel, a dedicated financial planner and cherished patriarch of his family, passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 26, 1950, in Mineola, New York.

For many years, Alan ran his own financial planning business in New York, where his expertise and commitment inspired those around him. He was not only a skilled professional but also a caring and reliable guide in the financial journeys of many.

Alan shared a deep bond with his beloved wife, Mary Haenel, with whom he celebrated 33 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with warmth, love, and mutual respect. As a proud father, Alan is survived by his children: Kim, married to Darren Fasano; Brandon, married to Diana Haenel; Justin, married to Arielle Haenel; Ashley Haenel; and Matthew Haenel. He was a doting grandfather to Olivia, Jessica, Alec, Ashton, Joslin, Sierra, Annabelle, and Lucas, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Alan's loving personality was evident through his many interests. He had a profound love for fishing and traveling, often pursuing adventures that brought him joy. His affinity for stocks showcased his analytical acumen, while his fondness for war movies and science fiction reflected his diverse tastes and curiosity about the world.

The visitation for Alan will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY, with a prayer service commencing at 7:00 PM.

Alan S. Haenel leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and unwavering dedication. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
