Albert M. Woolley of Riverhead, formerly of Victoria, Texas, died Aug. 31, 2019. He was 94.
He was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Stevensville, Texas to Claude and Antonia (Rendon) Woolley.
Woolley was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
After he retired from the Air Force, he owned and operated an auto body shop on Forge Road in Riverhead.
Family members said he was an adoring and fun father and grandfather who loved to dance, be around family and live life to its fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Victoria (Alfaro); by his children, Colonel Albert M. Woolley Jr. and Susan Woolley, Lynn and William Dunbar, Mark A. Woolley and Nancy Taylor-Woolley, Dr. Matthew L. Woolley and Debra Woolley and Lisa and Timothy Hubbard; by his grandchildren, Albert M. Woolley III and Dawn Woolley, Michael and Michelle Woolley, Anne-Marie and Erik Eve, Jennifer and Scott Robinson, Brian Dunbar, Michelle and Alex Krynski, Brandon Dunbar, Elizabeth Woolley, Donovan Woolley, Bryce Woolley, Spencer Woolley, Jean-Claude and Nicole Hubbard, Meaghan and Erik Howard, Kyle and Taylor Hubbard, Paige Hubbard and Timothy A. Hubbard; by 17 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Manuel Reyes.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass will take place at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, officiated by Father Larry Duncklee. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
