Angel Reyes Montalvan

Angel Reyes Montalvan, of Brentwood, NY, a man who touched the lives many with his kind and caring nature, passed away on August 13, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Angel was born on June 18, 1943, in Ecuador to his parents Carlos and Angela, where his journey began. He later moved to the United States and pursued a career in HVAC, becoming known for his exceptional skills in the field. In his professional life, Angel was not only skilled but also known for his warm personality. He was a great friend and coworker, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His presence brought light and positivity to those around him. 

Beyond profession, Angel was a man of profound family values and dedication. Angel's family was his pride and joy. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Nila Reyes (Nee: Arauz), for an impressive 55 years. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. He leaves behind his daughter Jennifer and her husband Paul Holley, his son David and his wife Veronica Reyes, his son Alex and his wife Ingred Reyes, his son Daniel and his wife Maria Reyes, and 7 cherished grandchildren.

Angel was remembered for being an amazing father and a doting grandfather, always making time for his family and cherishing moments spent with his grandchildren. His impact on their lives will forever be treasured.

Throughout his life, Angel remained humble despite his proudest accomplishment of a long and loving marriage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, as he was truly an all-around good guy who spread warmth and love wherever he went.

Services to honor and remember Angel will take place at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY, with a visitation on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Prayer Service will follow at 6:00 PM. The burial will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY. Family and friends who wish to attend the funeral are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:00 PM.  

Angel Reyes Montalvan's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his kind and loving soul rest in eternal peace.
