Angela J. Licciardello of Coram, NY passed away on February 14, 2024 in Port Jefferson, NY. Born on December 26, 1933, in New York, NY, Angela was the daughter of Basilio and Anna Fiore. She grew up in a loving family that instilled in her a strong work ethic and values of compassion and kindness.
The passing of Angela J. Licciardello on February 14, 2024, in Port Jefferson, NY has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family, including her beloved husband Michael Licciardello, daughters Marianne (Steven) Giller and Michelle (Terrence) Flanagan, as well as her grandchildren Terrence Joseph (TJ), Evan, Meaghan, and Brandon. Angela's sister, Ann Cardone, also mourns the loss of her cherished sister, confidant and friend.
Angela's passion for teaching blossomed early on, eventually leading her to pursue higher education. She obtained her Master's degree in education, which further sharpened her skills as an educator. Armed with knowledge and a nurturing spirit, she embarked on her teaching career, positively shaping young minds from the very beginning. Throughout her tenure at Longwood School District, Angela became renowned for her ability to connect with every student. Her warm smile and unwavering dedication made the classroom feel like a second home for many children. Countless former students fondly recall "Mrs. L's" incredible talent for explaining complex concepts in simple yet engaging ways.
Beyond teaching, Angela held a special talent for culinary arts. She was widely admired for her delectable Chicken Cutlets – a dish that had become legendary among family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with love and delicious aromas, creating cherished memories shared around the dining table.
Angela's sharp mind was matched only by her loving and prayerful personality. She radiated warmth and kindness wherever she went, always ready to extend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Many turned to her during difficult times, finding solace in her compassionate presence.
To honor Angela's life, visitation will take place on February 18, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953. A Mass will then be held on February 19, 2024, at The Chapel at St. Charles Infant Jesus R.C. Church, 200 Belle Terre Road, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. The Mass will commence at 10:30 AM. Burial at Calverton National Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
Angela J. Licciardello leaves behind a lasting legacy as a remarkable educator and beloved member of the community. Her kindness and unwavering dedication to education have touched generations of students who are now making their own marks on the world. She will forever be remembered with love and admiration for her boundless contributions to the lives she touched.
