Angela S. LoMonaco

Angela S. LoMonaco, a compassionate soul who brought warmth and love to those around her, passed away peacefully at her home on June 1, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born in Italy on November 1, 1933, to Giovanni Bizzoco and Grace Loprieno.

Angela dedicated her career as a seamstress for the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. It was through this dedication that she honed her talent for stitching together elegant attire while connecting with the women behind the seams and listening to their stories.

She loved spending time with her family, and they were always the center of her life. Her kind heart will be missed by her children AnnaMaria (Charles) Ortiz and Anthony LoMonaco. She leaves behind an enduring legacy for her five beloved grandchildren. Angela is predeceased by her treasured husband Albert LoMonaco. 

Angela was adored for always going above and beyond - she never skipped an opportunity to listen or lend a hand. Her caring personality defined who she was both as a person, but also as a mother and grandmother. In addition to caring for her loved ones, Angela had a passion for the church. She lived by her motto “whatever God wants…”

Friends and family can say their goodbyes during visitation services located at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home on June 4th from 2:00pm till 4:30pm and 7:00pm till 9:30pm. A Mass celebrating Angela's life will take place at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C Church in Deer Park on June 5th at 11:15am followed by entombment services at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.

Angela was loved by many people who cherished her kindness, love for family and above all her big-hearted personality. We join hands with all who grieve over Angela’s loss but celebrate that she lived life fully. May she rest in peace knowing the mark she left on this world and the joy she brought in the lives she touched.
