Ann T. Barcia gracefully departed this world on April 26, 2024. Born in Astoria, Queens, on July 24, 1932, Ann led a fulfilling life defined by dedication and love for her family.
Throughout her career as a Secretary Administrator for Parson Hospital School of Nursing, Ann's commitment and hard work left an indelible mark on all those she encountered. Her role was not just a profession but a passion that she poured her heart into every day.
Those who knew Ann will remember her as a cherished individual who held her family close to her heart. She created everlasting memories with each member and embraced every moment spent together.
Among those who preceded Ann in death are her husband Joseph (married for over 60 years), her son Peter, as well as her parents Vincent and Mary. While we mourn their absence, we find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with us.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and strength cherished by her surviving family and friends. Her son Joseph Barcia, along with Vincent (the Late Catherine) Barcia, now carry forward the light that Ann once brought into their lives.
Her memory will forever be kept alive by the generations she leaves behind: Daina, Anthony, Vincent, Daniel, Charles, Christina - her grandchildren; Cambree, Matthew, Peter, Lexi - her great-grandchildren. Each one a testament to the love and care she showered upon them.
The services to honor the life of Ann T. Barcia will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home on Monday, April 29th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 30th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Wednesday, May 1st, a funeral mass will be held at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church for Mass at 11:15 AM to be followed by a heartfelt farewell at 12:15 PM.
