Ann Hallock Olson

Ann Hallock Olson died December 28, 2017 in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the age of 94. At the time of her death, she resided on Shallowbrook Farms Road in Thomasville, Georgia. She is survived by her son Allen H. Olson of Albany, Georgia and Cerrillos, New Mexico, her son Richard K. Olson and her daughter-in-law Cheyenne J. Olson of Berea, Kentucky, and her friend Sanford Newsome of Thomasville, Georgia.

Ms. Olson was born on April 22, 1923 to John D. Hallock and Lillian Swords Hallock in Rockland County, New York. She grew up in Riverhead, New York and graduated from Riverhead High School and from Cornell University. She was married to the late Kenneth R. Olson for 52 years. Together they lived in New York State, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Florida. They also travelled extensively in the United States and abroad.

Funeral services will be held at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead, New York at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th, interment to follow at Riverhead Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Dr., Thomasville, Georgia 31757.
