Anthony F. Signorelli
December 19, 1942 - December 30, 2023
Anthony F. Signorelli, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and adored great-grandfather, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 81. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Born in Manhattan, New York on December 19, 1942, Anthony was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Margaret Signorelli. He grew up alongside his dearest siblings Joyce Keating, Joseph Signorelli, and the Late Miriam Signorelli.
After graduating from college, Anthony pursued a career in corporate accounting in the private sector. After serving in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1979 and training as an electrician, he continued his career as a CPA at the Nassau County Department of Public Works. With hard work and dedication, he excelled in his profession and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
One of Anthony's proudest accomplishments was the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished every moment creating loving memories with them, which will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Anthony leaves behind his beloved spouse JoAnn Signorelli, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. His children JoAnn Signorelli and her partner Shane Aiello, Michele Boss and her husband Al, Renee Boccia and her husband Leo, Danielle Severino and her husband Anthony, and Anthony C. Signorelli and his wife Gina will forever carry their father's love in their hearts.
He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren Stephen Boss, Nicole Boss, Bianca (her husband Michael) DeLuca, Leo G. Boccia, Gabriella Boccia, Ariana Boccia, Lucia Signorelli, Joseph Signorelli Francesca Signorelli, and Vincent Severino. Anthony was a loving great-grandfather to Charlotte Boss and Angelo DeLuca.
Anthony's kindness, warm smile, and generous nature touched the lives of many. He will be remembered as a compassionate soul who was always there to lend a helping hand or provide comforting words of wisdom. He was dedicated to spreading the word of God. Anthony had a strong Catholic faith which included volunteering, small group-based prayer group and attending daily mass. Everyone who knew him, knew him as an avid handball player. He never missed a game. Anthony’s legacy of love, kindness, faith and devotion to his family will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Visitation services on January 2, 2024, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. The first Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by the second Visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
A Mass in memory of Anthony's life will be held on January 3, 2024, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729. The Mass will begin at 11:15 AM. A burial to immediately follow at Saint Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to either the Tunnels to Towers organization, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital
