Anthony Votta, beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, sadly passed away on September 11, 2023. Born on August 24, 1939, in Manhattan, New York, Anthony had a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.
Anthony was a man of many talents and accomplishments. He dedicated several years of his life serving his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. After his military service, he embarked on a career with the NYC Department of Sanitation.
Family meant the world to Anthony, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Devoted father of his four children: Thomas, Michael, Linda, and the Late Marlene. Their lives were touched by their father's love and guidance, creating treasured memories that will be forever cherished. Anthony's legacy will continue to live on through the love he shared with his family and friends. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him well.
To honor Anthony's life, a memorial mass will be held at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729 on October 3rd, 2023. The service will begin at 11:15 AM for everyone who wishes to pay their respects and celebrate Anthony's life.
Following the mass, there will be an inurnment at Long Island National Cemetery located at Pinelawn Road Wellwood Ave, Pinelawn, NY 11735. The service is scheduled to commence at 12:30 PM. This will be a time for loved ones to say their final goodbyes and find solace in the peaceful surroundings.
Anthony will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted friend, and a hard-working individual. Though he is no longer with us in person, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. In this time of grieving, let us not dwell on the sadness of our loss but instead celebrate the beautiful life Anthony lived. May we find solace in the memories we shared and continue to carry his legacy within us.
