Arthur Treiling

Arthur Treiling, born on November 6, 1950, in New York, NY, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2025, in Middle Island, NY. Arthur lived a life dedicated to public service, distinguished by his long-standing career as a Detective for the New York City Police Department. His commitment and his profound sense of duty left an indelible mark on those who knew him and served alongside him.

A proud veteran, Arthur served in the Army, upholding the values of courage and sacrifice. His military background instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and responsibility that he carried throughout his life. He was not only a protector of the community but also a devoted family man.

Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Treiling, and his cherished daughters: Stacey Rauch, Melissa (Kyle) Katona, Kelly (Thomas) Cronin, and MaryBeth (Andrew) Dunton. He was a doting grandfather to his grandchildren: Brianna, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Connor, Luke, Emerson, Brayden, Logan, Liam, Charlotte and Avery. Arthur is also survived by his sister, Maryann Connick. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis, and his parents, William and Mary Treiling, who shaped the man he became. 

Visitation for Arthur will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953. The first session will be from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by another session from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass in his honor will be celebrated on February 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Saint Mark's R.C. Church, 105 Randall Rd, Shoreham, NY.

Arthur Treiling's contributions to his family and community will forever be remembered, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
