Burton Stuart Brody, MD

Burton Stuart Brody of Riverhead died on December 23, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Born on September 4, 1940, Burt earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from C. W. Post and a Masters in Biology from Hofstra University. 

After a decade teaching science, including organic chemistry, to would be doctors, Burt decided to return to school and became a Medical Doctor himself, graduating from the University Del Noreste. 

In addition to being a medical doctor and teacher, Burt was an avid sailor, a licensed pilot and a collector. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed riddles. He also loved gardening, and his beloved cats, Snickers and Coodie. 

Burt was fiercely independent until his final moments. In addition to his many friends, Burt is survived by his daughter, Belinda Brody of South Carolina. Burial Services are private.
