Carol Ann Ruth Hunter

Carol Ann Ruth Hunter, born on January 30, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Center Moriches, New York. Carol was a dedicated school bus driver for the Montauk Company, known for her unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the children. Her warm smile and kind demeanor made her a beloved figure in the community, earning her the affection and respect of both students and parents alike.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Anthony, and her cherished daughter, Jennifer Shiro. She is also remembered fondly by her cousin, brother-in-law, John Hunter, and cousin, James (Siobhan) Oliveri 

Visitation services will be held on October 8, 2024, at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, at 640 Middle Country Road, Middle Island, NY 11953. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Carol will be laid to rest on October 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM.  Family & friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM.

Carol’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she has touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
