Carol I. Meadows

March 26, 1944 — November 3, 2023

Caroline Irene Meadows, aka Mrs. Green, daughter of the late William and Margaret Doerffel was born March 26, 1944 in the Bronx New York. Carol relocated to North Babylon, New York as a young adult in 1969.

Carol was known throughout the neighborhood as “Mom.” Carol welcomed everyone into her home including her children’s friends and stray animals. Her door was always open, literally. She enjoyed having people around sharing love, laughter, discipline, advice and a good old “Spades Whooping” to anybody that dared to play. She loved to travel and spend time outdoors. She spent weekends out east in Greenport and Montauk exploring Long Island Lighthouses, Beaches and Parks. Her home would host pool and birthday parties for kids and grandkids.

There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her children and family. Family was the most treasured aspect of her life. Carol’s mother, better known as Nanna, also lived with her until her last days on earth. She joined her mother on November 3rd, 2023 and they’re now together in heaven watching over her legacy of giving and caring for children and animals. She will be dearly missed and live in our hearts forever.

Carol is survived by: husband Stanley Meadows and three (3) children: Danny Green, Darryl Green and Steven Berry; Ten (10) beloved grandchildren: Lenise Phillips, Danny Green Jr., Rashad Green, Darryl Green Jr., Devonté Green, Steven Berry Jr., Jeffrey Estevez, Dante Green, Summer Green and Max Emilia Green; Five (5) great- grandchildren: Derek Quinn, Amaya Phillips, Cyron Phillips Jr., Amari Green and Win Green. Carol leaves also to mourn a host of other family members and special friends.
