Caroline A. Loss

Caroline A. Loss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on March 20, 1930, in Astoria, Queens, NY, to August and Magdalene Harnischfeger, Caroline was the twin sister of Maddy Harnischfeger and the cherished wife of the late Vincent Loss.

Caroline and Vincent made their home in Levittown, NY in 1956 and proudly raised their two children, Gary and Susan. They later moved to Florida in 1987 to enjoy retirement.

She enjoyed her years in Florida and treasured the times when her family would visit during their summer vacations.

Caroline was known for her sharp wit and unfiltered opinions, always speaking her mind with love and humor. She enjoyed her passions for food, puzzles and doing aerobics in the pool.

She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Loss, her son Gary Loss, her sister Maddy Harnischfeger and her parents August and Magdalene Harnischfeger.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hanover and son-in-law Jeffrey Hanover; her grandson Eric Hanover; her grandson Adam Hanover and her granddaughter Kirsten Loss.

Caroline was special to those who knew her and will be deeply missed. As we honor her, we remember the joyous moments shared, her candid nature and her lively spirit. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts and prayers of her family.
