Casseus A. Manigat, a dedicated entrepreneur and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in West Islip, New York. Born on March 18, 1952, to Magloire and Cecile Manigat in Haiti, Casseus lived a life that was a testament to hard work, resilience, and love.


He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Manigat, and his seven children: Ginette; Englebert and his wife, Tatiana; Jimmy and his wife, Tasha; Vladjimir; Magloire and his wife, Jelissa; Bryan; Jeremy and his wife, Denise; Casseus was also a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren: Angel, Micah, Nakyia, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ziaire, Nayshawn, Malik, Jaleena, Emani, Mason, Journi, Maverick, Messiah, Ezra, and Maxim.


Casseus's commitment to his family was unwavering, and his supportive nature and genuine care for others were evident in the strong relationships he fostered, both within his immediate family and the wider community. Throughout his career, he worked for 25 years in environmental services with Northwell in Manhasset while also pursuing entrepreneurial ventures, managing multiple real estate properties in New York and his home country of Haiti. He proudly served in the army in Haiti, embodying the values of service and dedication.


Having grown up in Haiti, Casseus cherished the warm weather, vibrant culture, and the delicious food of his homeland. He worked hard but lived his life with minimal stress, often reminding those around him, "You only have one life to live." He loved to dance and listen to music, bringing joy and rhythm to every gathering.


His oldest sons affectionately gave him the nickname "P-Man," which became a code word among their friends to signal it was time to go. Known for being protective, Casseus dedicated himself to raising his children to become the great men and women they are today.


Casseus A. Manigat will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
