Catherine A. Spoust

Catherine A. Spoust, a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 23, 1931, in New York, NY to her parents Sebastian and Anna. 

Catherine's life was defined by her unwavering kindness and caring nature. She embraced every moment with a love that was palpable, always placing her family above all else. Catherine poured her heart into nurturing and supporting her family, providing a safe haven filled with laughter and stories that brought them all together.

Her legacy continues through her devoted daughter Debbie and her husband Dominick Soccoa, and her beautiful granddaughters, Nicole Gallo and Kayla Soccoa, who carry forward the values and love that their grandmother instilled in them. Catherine cherished every moment spent with them, her eyes lighting up as she recounted tales from her life, weaving lessons of love, compassion, and strength into their hearts.

Her life was a testament to the belief that true education comes from experience, love, and the bonds we forge with one another. To her family, she was an encyclopedia of warmth, teaching them the importance of kindness and the power of a loving embrace.
