Cecilia Alaimo

Cecilia Alaimo, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on December 25, 1933, in Astoria, Queens, Cecilia spent her life surrounded by love and dedicated herself to her family and friends.

She a devoted mother, leaving behind her beloved children, son Sal, son Dan and his wife Marlene, and daughter JoAnne Weihs. Cecilia's family extended beyond her children to include her grandchildren Shelby, Linsey, Danny, Sal, and David, along with her great-grandchildren Ashley, Luke, Thomas, Evelyn, Gracie, Faith, Robert, and Lucciana. Each of them holds dear memories of her warmth and nurturing spirit.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Angelo, who she shared her life with before his passing. Together, they forged a beautiful partnership that served as a foundation for their family.

The Alaimo family invites all who loved Cecilia to pay their respects during visitation services scheduled for January 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on January 14, 2025, from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on January 14, 2025, at 10:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729. Following the Mass, Cecilia will be laid to rest at Saint Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, East Farmingdale, NY 11735, with the burial service taking place at 11:45 AM.

Cecilia Alaimo's legacy of love and kindness will forever be etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who will carry forward her spirit and the values she exemplified throughout her life.
