Charles E. Cross, Jr., a devoted family man and respected lineman, passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on June 24, 1938, Lindenhurst, New York, Charles lived a life characterized by kindness and a deep commitment to his loved ones.

A proud Navy veteran who served from 1957 to 1959, Charles carried the values of service and dedication throughout his life. After completing his education as a high school graduate, he embarked on a successful career as a lineman, a role in which he was known for his expertise and steadfast work ethic.

Above all, Charles cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Arline Cross, alongside their three daughters: Geraldine and her husband Paul Havran, Gail and her husband Charles Liebold, and Barbara and her husband Frank Brucculeri. The joy of his life was further enriched by the presence of his four grandchildren; Anthony, Melissa, Ashley, and Daniella, who fondly remember him as a kind and gentle figure in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation services scheduled for October 10, 2024, at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, NY. The first visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, with a second visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass will be held in his honor at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Road in Deer Park, NY, on October 11, 2024, starting at 11:15 AM.

Charles E. Cross, Jr. will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the love he freely shared with those around him. His legacy of kindness and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
