Clarence A. Prior, III, a dedicated and respected Police Officer with the New York Police Department, passed on September 9, 2024, in East Patchogue, NY. He was born on April 1, 1966, in Georgetown, South Carolina, and throughout his life, he served as a beacon of strength and commitment to his family and community.

Clarence was a proud graduate of his high school, laying the foundation for a life of public service and integrity. His career with the NYPD was marked by unwavering dedication, professionalism, and a heartfelt commitment to protecting and serving the people of New York City. He approached his duties with a sense of pride, embodying the values of justice and duty that are the hallmark of law enforcement professionals.

In his personal life, Clarence was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Trina, and their daughters, Marjorie and Monisha. He was a source of love and guidance for them, instilling in his family the values of respect, hard work, and compassion. He leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Madison, Mikayla, Malachi and Kendrick, who brought Clarence immense joy. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Darrell Prior, and his loving mother, Earline Prior. These family connections were vital to him, and he cherished the moments spent with them.  Clarence was preceded by his father, Clarence Prior, Jr. 

Visitation for Clarence will take place on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Mangano Funeral Home of Middle Island, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  Following the closing prayers at 12:00pm, family and friends will proceed to Yaphank Cemetery, where Clarence will be laid to rest.  

As we remember Clarence A. Prior, III, we honor not just the role he played in law enforcement, but the loving husband, father, son, and brother he was to those who knew him. His memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him, reflecting a life fulfilled through service, love, and unwavering support for family and friends.
