Concetta Spignolo of Deer Park, NY passed away on March 30, 2024. Concetta was born on December 1, 1923, in Brooklyn, NY, to her loving parents Salvatore and Emilia Tomacchio. She brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her lifetime.
In her early years, Concetta pursued her education and earned her high school diploma. She then embarked on a career as a line worker in the garment industry in bustling New York City. Her dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did.
Those who knew Concetta will remember her for many things, including her exceptional culinary skills. She was known for cooking the most delicious Bowtie Pasta with Peas and Pasta Fagioli that brought together multiple generations around the dinner table. Additionally, she found solace and joy in knitting, creating beautiful pieces that were treasured by her family. Described as an "angel," and having the sweetest and calming personality, Concetta touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kindness and gentle spirit made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Concetta is survived by daughter Emily (Timothy) McEwan and 3 Granddaughters, Kristina McEwan, Nicole (Mike) Caradonna, Jenny (Jordan) DeLorenzo, as well as 6 great-grandchildren. In their time of mourning, may they find comfort in the memories they shared with Concetta.
Services to honor and celebrate Concetta's life will be held at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home on April 3rd for visitation from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. On the following day, April 4, 2024, a Mass at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church will begin at 9:15am. Following the funeral mass, there will be a procession to Calverton National Cemetery, where Concetta will be laid to rest.
