Deacon Frank J. Gariboldi

December 15, 1931 — December 25, 2024

In Loving Memory of

Deacon Frank Gariboldi

With sorrowful hearts we announce that our Beloved Deacon Frank Gariboldi entered into Life Eternal on Christmas Day surrounded by his beloved wife Lorraine and family.

Deacon Frank was ordained in the Diocese of Rockville Centre on May 18, 1996. He was the Diocese’s Project Rachel Coordinator while Msgr. Jim Lisante was the Respect Life Coordinator for the Diocese. There Frank learned how important it was to help women and men who experienced an abortion to be reconciled with God and to encounter His love, mercy and forgiveness. So, when he learned about the post abortion Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat Program, he and Lorraine, the Executive Director of the Life Center of Long Island at the time, went to the training and brought the program to the Life Center on Long Island.

Over the years, Frank and Lorraine coordinated and attended 25 weekend retreats, with over five hundred participants, and over 1,000 aborted babies being memorialized during Retreat Masses. While attending a Fundraising Workshop at a Heartbeat International Conference, Frank learned about the possibility of raising funds through the Baby Bottle Campaign. When he returned from the conference, he established the Life Center Baby Bottle Campaigns, which has been in existence over the last 19 years. The funds raised through these campaigns have been vital in helping the Life Center expand our reach throughout Long Island to save babies from abortion.

Frank and Lorraine have been married for 32 years. Together they have seven adult children, 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. They recently resided in Apollo Beach, Florida. In addition to his duties as a Deacon, Frank was a Board Member of the Life Center of Long Island, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Joseph Barry Council #2520, Hicksville, NY and worked in Hospice at the Hospice Inn, Melville, NY.

One of Frank’s greatest accomplishments was his graduation from St. John's University with a degree in Theology at the age of 75.

To God I entrust you. From Him, you came from and to Him, you return. May the blessed Mary, the angels and the saints rejoice at your arrival at the gates of paradise. May Frank's soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed Rest in Peace. Amen
