Dolores “Lola” Esau: February 27, 1930 (Brooklyn, NY) - August 16, 2020 (Jacksonville, FL). Predeceased by her parents Dominick and Josephine Stanganelli, brothers Lou, Peter, Joseph, and Rudolph (Rudy) Stanganelli, husband George Esau.
She raised three children in Deer Park, New York, while working for the Town of Babylon. After her retirement, she worked as a legal secretary for attorneys Joe Stabile and Peter Dunn. Dolores is survived by her children, Josephine Mulcahy (Bruce LaCarrubba), Diane Atwill (Frederick Atwill Jr.), and John Esau. Granddaughters Erica Mulcahy (Ryan Martin), Alexis Atwill, Vanessa Atwill-Robbins (Dave Robbins), and Sara Esau. Great grandchildren, Dante, Dominic, and Rise.
There will be a graveside memorial service for her burial at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery August 24, 2020 at 11am. Please plan to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Patricia Locke Foundation School Garden Project or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
