Dorita Emilia Victoria Figueroa

Dora Emilia Victoria Figueroa, affectionately known as "Dorita," passed away suddenly at her home in Calverton, NY on May 20th, 2023. She was a vibrant and loving member of her family, community, and workplace. Dorita was born on June 26th, 1971, in Cali, Colombia to her parents Delio Figueroa Cuellar and  Raquel Perez Campos. She came to the United States to pursue her Bachelor's degree and settled in Suffolk County, NY.

Dorita worked for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office as a Spanish Speaking Clerk Typist. Her dedication to her job was evident to everyone who knew her. Her coworkers remember her as a kind and compassionate person who was always willing to help others. She had a knack for making difficult situations easier with her smile and positive attitude.

Outside of work, Dorita was a devoted wife to Diego Victoria and mother to her two sons Samuel David and Sebastian. Her family was always at the center of her world, and she made sure they knew how much she loved them every day.

Dorita's personality was infectious. She was loving and kind to everyone she met and left an impression on all who knew her. Her passing has left a void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services will be held at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead on May 24th, 2023. Viewing will take place from 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm with the funeral service following at 7:00 pm. Dorita will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

Dorita is survived by her husband Diego Victoria, sons Samuel David and Sebastian,  and siblings Ismael, Dalia, Martha, Alfredo, Janeth, Camilo, Yeyo,  Jamie,  J. Carlos, Stephany, Eliana, Victor, and Ida. They will all miss her dearly.

Dorita Emilia Victoria Figueroa will be remembered as a shining star who left an indelible impression on everyone she interacted with. Though she may be gone, her memory will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.
