Dorothy M. Santo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 11, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished. She was born on November 27, 1933, in Queens, New York to her parents Benjamin and Rose Simonetti.
Dorothy was known for her kind and caring nature, earning her the reputation of being a sweetheart to all who knew her. Her culinary skills were renowned among family and friends, as she was celebrated for being a fantastic cook especially when it came to making meatballs, despite never eating them herself. Dorothy was also recognized for her strong work ethic and resilient spirit throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving husband Anthony John Santo, her devoted children Lee (and his wife Kerri) Santo and Paul Santo, as well as her 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services to honor and remember Dorothy will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park on July 15, 2024. The visitation will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will follow on July 16 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale at 12:00 PM. Those who wish to attend the funeral are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:00 AM.
Dorothy's impact on those around her will always be remembered with fondness and admiration. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved by many.
