Edward Valenti

Edward Valenti, born on November 19, 1944, in New York, NY to his parents Augustine and Theresa, passed away on August 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and commitment to his family and community. Eddie enjoyed a long and successful career with the N.Y.C. Department of Sanitation. After his retirement, he continued to work for many years and started his own business, Eddie's Pond Maintenance, where together with his son Andrew, he built and maintained Koi ponds across Long Island for their many happy customers. 

Edward was a man whose life revolved around his family, devotion that marked every moment of his existence. He treasured his beloved wife, Margaret Valenti, and shared warm memories with his children: Edward W. Valenti with his wife Melanie Valenti, Christina Valenti with her partner Kathy Kovar, and Andrew Valenti. His grandchildren, Aimee and her husband Jack, Ava, Chase, Jayden, and Melody, brought him immense joy and pride, serving as a testament to the loving family he nurtured.

Armed with a high school diploma, he approached life with determination and a spirit of resilience, becoming an admired figure not only for his work ethic but also for the depth of his character. 

Visitation services for Edward Valenti will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. The first visitation will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, followed by an additional visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, beginning at 11:30am. A burial will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, NY.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, the dedication he showed throughout his career, and the positive impact he made on the lives of those around him. Edward Valenti leaves behind cherished memories, a devoted family, and a community that will miss him dearly.
