ELAINE WASHINGTON (nee Reichert)

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife and mother, Elaine Washington on January 12, 2024.

Elaine was born on August 12, 1929 in Queens NY, to Mary (Parmagiani) Reichert  and Walter I. Reichert.  On September 20, 1952 she married George J. Washington. They had two sons, Gary (1953) and Thomas (1956).

Elaine was predeceased by her mother, father, step-father and son Thomas. She is survived by loving husband George, son Gary and his wife Mindy.  She is also survived by cousin Regina Stewart, nephews Neal (Gail), Charlie and Paul Owens, and niece Karen Pasler. 

 Friends and family will gather to pay their respects at the Tuthill-Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 406 E Main Street, Riverhead NY, 11901 on Monday, January 29, 2024. Visiting hours are 2:00pm-4:30pm and again from 7:00pm-9:30pm. There will be a prayer service Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10:00am followed by entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
