Elizabeth Clara (Jakob) DiGiorgio, beloved daughter, wife, mother, nana, and friend, passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 81 in Georgia. She was born on May 3, 1942 in New York, New York to her loving parents Joseph and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's kind and adored personality touched the lives of many. Elizabeth's presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. She worked as a receptionist in an accountant's office where she met the love of her life, John. They fell in love and got married in 1963, and were married for over 50 years. Together, they created a beautiful life raising their children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving children; Sandra (Don) Beresheim, John (Porzia) DiGiorgio, and David (Amy) DiGiorgio, as well as her adored grandchildren; Donny, Johnny, Melissa, Gioianna, Alexandra, and Dante. She is predeceased by her loving husband, John (2015), and her parents Joseph and Elizabeth. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A visitation will be held in Elizabeth's honor on January 11, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY, United States. Another visitation will be held on January 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with an additional visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the same location.
A Mass celebrating Elizabeth's life will take place on January 13, 2024 at Saint Matthew in Dix Hills, NY. The Mass will begin at 9:45 AM and conclude at 10:45 AM. The address for the church is 35 North Service Rd. A burial will follow immediately after the mass at Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
