Elizabeth S. Prado

March 4, 1940 — August 29, 2024

Dix Hills, NY

Elizabeth S. Prado, passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on March 4, 1940, in the Philippines to her parents Rufino and Rita. Elizabeth was the youngest of six siblings, a position that brought her both affection and an abundance of cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth was celebrated by her family, who lovingly acknowledged her as the ‘spoiled’ youngest child. Her modesty and generosity defined her character; she was a loving and caring individual who was always attuned to the needs of others. Elizabeth's thoughtfulness extended beyond her immediate family, as she valued social interactions and had a knack for making connections with those around her.

Although she pursued a Bachelor's Degree in dentistry, Elizabeth never practiced in the field, opting instead for a fulfilling career at the post office in the Philippines. There, she dedicated herself to her work, contributing to her community with diligence and kindness.

After she retired, Elizabeth immigrated to the United States and became a U.S Citizen in 2017. She lived with her big sister Helen and late brother-in-law Edilberto, quietly helping out by being steadfast presence and loyal companion to her sister.

Elizabeth is survived by Helen and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who remember her for her nurturing spirit and the love she lavished upon them. She always reminded her loved ones to not sweat the small stuff ("relax"). Her legacy of caring and compassion will undoubtedly resonate in their hearts for years to come. Rest in Peace our "Queen Elizabeth".
