Emma Mezzapelle

Emma Mezzapelle, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in West Islip, NY, on December 4, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on August 31, 1931, in Germany, Emma's journey through life was marked by resilience, love, and a deep devotion to her family.

Emma was the cherished daughter of the late William and Emma Brosi. She experienced the joy of being a devoted wife to the late Anthony Mezzapelle, and together they created a legacy of warmth and kindness. Emma was a nurturing mother to her children, including Michele (John) Principe (daughter), Stephen M. (Patricia)  Mezzapelle (son), Odette M. (daughter) and her partner Giuseppe, Peter (Annette) Wohrlin (son), Brigitte (Pat) Spry (daughter), and Heidi (John) Goldsworthy (daughter). Each of her children carries forward the love and values that Emma instilled in them throughout their lives. She is furthermore survived by eight grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Emma is also remembered fondly by her sister, Ursula Duggan, who shared in the countless memories that made up their family's history. Throughout her life, she nurtured relationships with those she loved, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends.

A Visitation for Emma will be held on December 8, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. Following the visitation, a Memorial Service will take place on December 10, 2024, at 12:00PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, situated at 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Emma Mezzapelle will be remembered not only for her love and care but also for the strength and wisdom she imparted to all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
