Florinda M. Tipa

Florinda M. Tipa, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, in Commack, NY. Born on April 6, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, she graced this world with her warmth and kindness for over 78 years.

As the owner of Stuff A BageI, Florinda not only created delicious food but also a welcoming space where community and connection flourished. Her dedication and hard work were evident in every bagel she served, as was her passion for nurturing relationships with her customers and staff alike.

Florinda was the embodiment of love and care; she deeply cherished her family and took immense joy in being a grandmother to her three loving grandchildren. With a heart that overflowed with compassion, she made everyone around her feel special and valued. Her personality shone through in all she did – loving, kind, and always ready with a helping hand.  She leaves behind a legacy wrapped in the love of her close-knit family. Her daughter Tara Weeks, sons Joey, Rickey, and Ralphie Tipa, along with her grandchildren, will carry her spirit forward, honoring the lessons of kindness, resilience, and hard work that she instilled in them. Additionally, her bond with her sister MaryAnn Mazzara and brother Joseph Caruso adds to the tapestry of her loving family.  Florinda is now reunited with her dear husband, Ralph Tipa, whose memory she cherished throughout her life. The love they shared remains an indelible part of her journey.

Services will be held on September 30, 2024, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, NY, beginning with a Mass at 11:15 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate her remarkable life, sharing stories and fond memories of a woman who touched so many hearts.

Florinda M. Tipa will be forever missed, her enduring spirit a gentle reminder of the beauty found in love, family, and community.
