FRANCES DIANA WOODS (Diana to all who knew and loved her), 92, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Diana was born on April 5, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, only daughter to Matthew and Tyuna Ferrigno. She grew up in Sunset Park, Brooklyn where she could be found conspiring with her neighborhood girlfriends many of whom were best friends throughout their entire lives. A few years post-WWII, she met the love of her life, Leonard at an ice cream parlor. They were married in 1952 and moved to Long Island where they raised their two sons, Robert and Steven. After raising their boys to school age, Diana went to work as executive secretary to the President of an import/export business. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening especially during retirement. More recently, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she enjoyed being a Great-Grandmother “GiGi”. She is survived by her grandson Brian Woods (Kelly); daughter-in-law Palma; granddaughter Kathleen Kissinger (Brian); two Great-Grandsons Robert and Charles Woods; and great-granddaughter Lillian Kissinger. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard and, sons Robert and Steven. Service and Burial Tuesday, August 17 at 10:00am at Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore, NY.
