Frank Gregorio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on February 7, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to Mary and Daniel Gregorio. He was older brother to Barbara, Audrey, and Victor. Frank lived a life full of love and adventure. He was a man of many accomplishments, active in sports – football, basketball, baseball throughout high school. He finished his Bachelor’s Degree at Pace University and started a business with a hotdog truck – Frank’s Franks. Throughout his life, he opened 6 businesses and taught himself day trading.
An attentive and loving spouse, Frank was married to his soulmate Lori for 46 years. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them. Together they built a beautiful family and were pillars of strength for each other.
As a father, Frank leaves behind a lasting legacy. His children, Lorraine, Danny (Angela), and Frankie were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them and provided unwavering support throughout their lives. Frank's devotion to his family extended beyond his immediate children; he was adored by his six grandchildren, Ray, Danny, Joey, Daniela, Victoria and Giavanna, who will always remember him as their loving grandfather. He was a beloved uncle to Danielle, Paul, Steven, Catherine, Angeline, and a cherished cousin to many. In addition to his family, Frank leaves behind his close friends, Lenny, Cheech, Vinny, and Tony, who will forever remember him.
Frank had an infectious spirit that spread joy to everyone he encountered. His warm smile and kind heart made him a cherished friend to many. He had a unique ability to make people laugh and brought happiness into the lives of those around him.
In addition to his family and friends, Frank touched the lives of countless others through his involvement in the community. He established a CYO Basketball program at our Our Lady of Lourdes and coached dozens of teams through the years.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the visitation services being held at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave in Deer Park, NY. The first visitation event will take place on February 9th from 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM. The second visitation event will be held later that day, from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. Frank's life will be celebrated with a Mass service on February 10th at 9:30 AM. The Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, situated at 455 Hunter Avenue in West Islip, NY.
Frank Gregorio's passing is mourned by all who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In this time of grief, let us celebrate the incredible life lived by Frank Gregorio and find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
