Gary D. Smith

Gary D. Smith, of Hampton Bays, NY, age 74, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Center Moriches, NY. He was born on July 17, 1942, in Rochester, NY to Huron Smith and Margaret Zorn. He had a master’s degree and was a teacher for Commack School District. He was a dedicated coach for soccer, basketball and softball, for East Islip, Sayville, Commack, St. Joseph’s College and Suffolk County Community College. Gary is survived by his loving wife Paula Smith (nee:Probeck), beloved children Neal and Brian Smith, Pam Johnson, dear sister and brother – in – law Paula and Fran Larrivee, devoted grandfather of 4. A service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, 10:00 am, at Riverhead United Methodist Church, 204 E. Main St., Riverhead, NY 11901.
