George J. Granelle, a hardworking construction worker, passed away at the age of 78 on June 3, 2023 in West Islip, New York. A proud Army veteran, he was born on November 29, 1944 and raised in Queens, New York by George J. Granelle and Eileen Hoffer.
Throughout his life, George was known to be an honest man who would go above and beyond for others without expecting anything in return. He was a simple man who loved spending time with his family and had deep religious convictions.
George is predeceased by his loving wife Karin Granelle. And will forever be remembered by their two daughters, Anja (Michael) Albanesi and Christa (John) Russo. Additionally, he is survived by his grandson Christopher and granddaughter Brooke.
Family members and friends will gather to pay their respects at the Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave in Deer Park, NY on June 7th from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM for a visitation ceremony. George's funeral mass will be held on June 8th at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY at 10:15 AM.
George led a fulfilling life as a devoted family man, hardworking construction worker, and veteran who dedicated himself to serving his country. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
