Harry F. Koehler, born on January 5, 1935, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2024 in Jamesport, New York. He was a dedicated son, father, and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Harry proudly served as a Tax Examiner for the IRS, where his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to the public greatly impacted many individuals. His educational journey began with a high school diploma, laying a strong foundation for his future endeavors. Beyond his career in tax examination, Harry demonstrated his unwavering patriotism as a proud Air Force Veteran during the Korean War, a chapter of his life that shaped his values and sense of duty.
Harry is survived by his cherished family: his sons, Michael Koehler and John Koehler, his daughter-in-law, Michelle Koehler, and his beloved granddaughters, Briana Deluca and Ashley Deluca. They will remember him not just for his accomplishments, but also for his kindness, humor, and the warmth he brought into their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Helen Koehler. Their memories remain treasured in the hearts of all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Wednesday October 30, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. A prayer service will be held the following day, October 31, 2024, at 10:00AM, also at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, concluding with a burial at Rockville Cemetery, Lynbrook, NY 11563, following the prayer service at the funeral home.
