Harvey held a deep sense of duty toward his country. From 1972 to 1974, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. This military service instilled in him values of discipline, loyalty, and bravery that he carried throughout his life. Harvey's passion for serving and protecting others led him to a distinguished career in law enforcement. He joined the New York City Police Department and served with great pride and dedication for 25 years, leaving an indelible mark on the community he served. After retiring from the NYPD, Harvey went on to transport cancer patients and individuals with special needs for 15 years, until the day of his passing. Harvey's commitment and devotion to keeping the streets safe and caring for the sick and disabled earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Aside from his exemplary professional life, Harvey cherished his family above all else. He leaves behind a loving wife, Debbie and three children who were the center of his world: Lauren (Ren), Ryan, and Christopher. They were not only his pride and joy but also a constant source of inspiration for him to be the best version of himself. He was a devoted brother to Donna Lindner and Janice Gehlmeyer. May their shared experiences of growing up together continue to bring joy and peace in their hearts for many years to come. Harvey also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who he cherished deeply.
Harvey had numerous friends that he held dearly in his heart. Those fortunate enough to have known Harvey understood that he possessed an infectious spirit and an unyielding dedication to those around him.

Today, as we bid farewell to Harvey, we celebrate a life marked by integrity, bravery, selflessness and a caring heart. Harvey was an extraordinary, spiritual human being and will be missed dearly by his family, his many friends and colleagues May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his memory continue to inspire us all to make a difference in the lives of others, just as Harvey did throughout his remarkable journey.
