Helyn F. Bartlett

Helyn Bartlett of Calverton, NY passed away on July 7th at the South Hampton Hospital. Preceding her in death was her husband of 63 years, Charles Bartlett. Surviving are grandnephew, Ted Richards and his wife, Robin, of Loudon, Tennessee, along with close family friends Johnny Grabus and Jeff Hallock. Helyn was 101 years old at the time of her death.

Helyn grew up in Wyoming PA and became a nurse in her 20s. She went to Minneapolis to help with the Polio outbreak right after graduation. She later served in the Army as a nurse during WWII. After the war she worked as an operating room nurse in Long Island.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901.
