Howard E. Doppel, a respected Claims Supervisor for State Farm Insurance, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Riverhead, NY. Born on December 16, 1926, in Middle Village, NY, Howard led a remarkable life filled with dedication and service.
Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. His commitment to his military duties reflected his unwavering loyalty and bravery.
With a Bachelor's Degree under his belt, Howard excelled in his career as a Claims Supervisor for State Farm Insurance. His professionalism and work ethic left a lasting impact on all those he encountered. Howard will forever be remembered by his surviving family and friends: Irene Winter (daughter), Thomas Winter (son-in-law), Maureen (Devin) Bennett (granddaughter), and Elizabeth Winter and husband Jim(granddaughter). In their hearts, his memory will continue to shine brightly.
He is reunited in the afterlife with his beloved wife Arline M. Doppel and son Kenneth H. Doppel, as well as father Leonard Doppel, and mother Anna Burkley. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, perseverance, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Services to honor Howard's life will take place at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. Visitation will be held on August 11, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Prayer Service will be conducted on August 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton at noon.
Howard E. Doppel will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace knowing that his legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by those whose lives he touched.
