Ida Del Prete

Ida Del Prete, a beloved and  loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 100. She was born on April 26, 1923, in Naples, Italy to the Late Carlo and the Late Rosa.

 

Ida was a kind and caring individual who touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion. She dedicated her life to raising her children and creating a loving home for her family. Ida adored her family above anything else. Her deep love and affection for her husband, children and grandchildren were evident in everything she did. She is survived by her three children, Anthony Del Prete (Josephine), Roseanne Del Prete, and Vincent Del Prete. and grandchildren Amanda and Justine. Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.   Her gentle nature made it easy for others to connect with her, and she had an undeniable ability to make people feel loved and valued. She is also survived by her godchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held in honor of Ida's life on November 16, 2023, at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and end at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to join together to share memories and celebrate the incredible woman that Ida was.

Following the visitation, there will be an intimate gathering for friends and family from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the same location. This gathering will provide an opportunity for loved ones to come together to remember Ida's life and find solace in each other's company.

The interment will take place at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, NY. This final resting place will serve as a lasting tribute to Ida's memory. The interment ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM on November 16, 2023, and conclude at 2:00 PM.

Ida's passing has left a void in the lives of all those who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She reminded us all of the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones and living a life filled with love and joy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Anthony Del Prete. While she may no longer be here in person, her spirit will continue to live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering love for her family and friends was truly extraordinary. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
