Irene Yee

Irene Yee peacefully passed away on February 24, 2025, in Riverhead, NY, at the age of 71. Born on August 29, 1953, in Rockville Centre, NY, Irene was a beloved individual who brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

Irene's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and the strong bonds she created with those around her. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn S.Yee, and her cherished siblings: Susan Dodge (William Dodge), Barbara Peterson, Cathy Stephan, Janet Andrade, Karen Tuohy, and Kevin Peterson. Each member of her family will undoubtedly miss her radiant spirit and nurturing presence.

Irene was predeceased by her parents, Catherine Peterson (née Allaire) and Howard Peterson, as well as her siblings Anne Peterson and Howard Peterson. Their memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them, including Irene.

The community is invited to honor Irene's life during visitation services at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901, on February 26, 2025. The first visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a second visitation from  6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service

A burial service will take place on February 27, 2025, at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933-1031, beginning at 11:00 AM.

Irene Yee will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength will endure forever.
