James Kevin Brown

James Kevin Brown, a devoted family man, passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 76. Born on December 11, 1946, in Queens, New York to James and Helen Brown. James proudly served in the United States Navy. His military service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and honor that he carried with him throughout his lifetime. In his role as Superintendent of the NYC Transit Authority, James Brown was a true pillar of leadership.

Beyond his professional achievements, James was a loving father and cherished friend to many. His warmth and kindness touched every person he encountered. He is survived by his adoring daughters, Valerie (Chris) H. Whiteworth and Helen (Harvey) Robinson. James took great pride in their accomplishments and found immense joy in watching them flourish into remarkable individuals. His love for them knew no bounds.
