Janeen M. Burnett

Janeen M. Burnett, a compassionate mother and grandmother, passed away on August 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was born on January 12, 1956, in Brooklyn, New York and was a devoted daughter to Sarah Jackson.

Janeen was an exceptional individual who dedicated her career to the insurance industry. Her knowledge and expertise as an underwriter were widely respected by colleagues and clients alike.

While professionally accomplished, Janeen's true pride and joy stemmed from her family. She cherished the role of being a mother to her two sons, Ryan Burnett, and Kyle G. (Marissa) Burnett. She poured immeasurable love into their lives and provided unwavering support at every step of their journeys. She was an adoring sister to William (Stephanie), Peter (Tara), Mark (Linda), and Patricia (Adam).

In addition to being a loving mother, Janeen had the joy of being a grandmother to Skylar. Her face would light up whenever she spoke about Skylar. As she watched her grandchild grow, Janeen showered her with affection and wisdom.

Janeen's caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She cherished the bonds she formed with friends over the years, treasuring each friendship deeply. Her genuine interest in others' well-being touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her. The world is undoubtedly emptier without her infectious laughter, warm hugs, and kind words.

To honor Janeen's life, visitation services will be held on August 24, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. Another visitation will take place from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on the same day. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during these solemn gatherings.

A Mass to celebrate the life of Janeen M. Burnett will be held on August 25, 2023, at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY 11729. The Mass will commence at 11:15 AM with the ceremony expected to conclude by 12:15 PM.

As we bid farewell to a woman who touched our lives in countless ways, let us remember Janeen's caring spirit and the love she so generously shared with everyone around her. May her memory be a comfort and an inspiration as we navigate this world without her physical presence.
