Mr. Jean-Roland Pintro, whose remarkable journey encompassed service to his homeland of Haiti and dedication to his community in the United States, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, at his home in Kissimmee, Florida surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 26, 1939, in Haiti, he touched the lives of many through his various roles and compassionate nature.
During his impactful career, Mr. Pintro served as a Government Official in Haiti, working with the Human Services Department "Ministere des Affaires Sociales" and "le centre d'acceuil Duval Duvalier". His commitment to public service extended to America, where he worked as a Guest Services Associate at the Marriott Marquis in NYC. Known for his impartiality and ability to bridge divides, he was esteemed as a go-to person for so many families in Haiti. He graciously served as an altar server when he was a child.
Education was very important to Mr. Pintro, who encouraged his kids to get an education upon their arrival to the United States. His loving and helpful personality shone through as he always sought to assist others, bringing laughter and comfort wherever he went. Reliable and uplifting, he had a special talent for cheering people up during challenging times.
A visitation will be held on April 19, 2024, at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. Further services include a Mass at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church followed by burial at Saint Charles Cemetery on April 20, 2024.
Mr. Pintro is survived by his beloved wife Yvonne and his children: Jeanrony Pintro, Joseph Gary Pintro, Eric Pintro, Jude Pintro, Addison Pintro, Rolando Pintro, Roselande Aubourg, Jean Roland Bernier, Gladymir Bernier, Yves Roland Pintro, Angelique Pintro; and his 20 grandchildren. His sister Elvire, his brother Edvard and their children. The children's spouses; Sandra, Magalie, Mirna, Dina, Farah, Kim-Ngan, Jenneffer, Daphney. And his nephews and nieces.
In honoring the memory of Mr. Jean-Roland Pintro's legacy of kindness and service to others both near and far, we celebrate a life well-lived and deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
