Jeanette Mazzapelle, born on May 18, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Vito Mazzapelle. Jeanette will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She showed her love for family and friends through home cooked meals and unwavering honest opinions. Many of her catch phrases will live on forever through her family. Her straight forward personality and love for her family will be sorely missed.
She survived by her loving daughter, MaryJane Yturraspe, along with her children who brought Jeanette immense joy: Lauren Yturraspe and her daughter Elissa Yturraspe, Kris Yturraspe-Wood and her husband Brian Wood, with their children Ander and Calla, as well as Robert Yturraspe and his wife Caitlin Yturraspe, and their children Cameron, Dylan, and Robby.
Her son, Michael Mazzapelle and his wife Marie, also mourns her passing, alongside his family, which includes: Melissa Carpenter and her children Liam and Charlotte, and Michael and Christine Mazzapelle, with their children Stella and Sonny.
Jeanette was also predeceased by her son, the Late Gary Mazzapelle, whose memory shall remain a cherished part of her family's story.
A visitation to honor Jeanette's life will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. The following day, a funeral mass will be celebrated in her memory at Our Lady of Grace R. C. Church, 666 Albin Avenue, West Babylon, NY 11704, starting at 10:00 AM. Family and friends who wish to attend the funeral are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. A burial will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, New York.
Jeanette Mazzapelle’s life was a testament to kindness and familial devotion. She leaves behind a legacy that is not only reflected in the lives she touched but also in the love that binds her family. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
