Jerome J Thomson, a beloved Architectural Consultant, passed away on February 10 2024, in Riverhead, New York. Born on April 13, 1933, in Miami, Florida, he was surrounded by love and support throughout his remarkable life.
During his formative years, Jerome pursued his education diligently and obtained a High School Diploma. It was the beginning of his journey that would eventually establish him as a respected professional in the field of architecture. Jerome's passion for architecture led him to become an Architectural Consultant. His dedication to his craft was unparalleled, and he left an indelible mark on numerous projects throughout his career. His innovative designs were known for their harmonious union of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jerome's character shone through in his deep devotion to family and friends. He shared many joyous moments with his wife Christine Marino Thomson, whose unwavering love and support were a source of strength for Jerome throughout their marriage. Their bond was truly remarkable. Jerome was also a loving father to Larissa Thomson and a caring father-in-law to Scott Carlson. He took great pride in nurturing their lives with wisdom and guidance. The arrival of Van Thomson Carlson further enriched Jerome's life as he embraced the role of a doting grandfather with utmost joy and affection.
Outside of his professional commitments and family life, Jerome served with honor in the United States Military from 1953 to 1955. His time spent in service exemplified not only his patriotism but also showcased his commitment to protecting the values that make our nation great. In recognition of Jerome's contributions to society and the impact he made on those who knew him best, services will be held to celebrate his life. Visitation will take place at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home (406 East Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901) on February 15, 2024. The first visitation event will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by another visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A Mass in honor of Jerome's life will be held at Saint John The Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, New York (546 St Johns Pl) on Friday, February 16, 2024. The Mass will commence at 10:30 AM. Following the Mass, Jerome will be laid to rest with military honors at Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933-1031).
