Lindenhurst, New York - Joan Bliss, a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. Joan will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Joan was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She was raised by her parents, Earl and Virginia, in Brooklyn, New York. Joan cherished her upbringing and carried the values instilled in her throughout her life.

Joan embarked on a fulfilling journey as a devoted mother. Her children, Missi (Franco) Tini and Rocky (Susan) Lombardo were blessed to have such a caring and nurturing mother. Joan's dedication to their well-being knew no bounds, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

As a grandmother, Joan found immense joy in the company of her precious grandchildren: Giuseppe, Francesco, Gaia, Billie, Isabella, and Dominick. She delighted in watching them grow and took great pride in their accomplishments. Joan's love for her grandchildren knew no boundaries as she showered them with affection and guidance.

Joan will be remembered for her warm presence that brought comfort to those around her. Her wise advice was sought after by many who recognized her wisdom and gentle nature. Whether it was offering a listening ear or delivering compassionate words of encouragement, Joan had an incredible knack for uplifting spirits.

A visitation to honor Joan's life will be held at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY, on August 11, 2023 from 4PM to 8PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to share memories and support each other during this difficult time.

Joan Bliss was a beacon of love and kindness in the lives she touched. Her legacy will forever live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
