Joan B. Ippolito, passed away on November 18, 2023 in Saint James, NY. She was born on December 20, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY. Joan lived a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and compassion.
After graduating college, Joan embarked on her career as a dedicated Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service. Her work was not only meticulous but also invaluable to the functioning of the organization. Joan's commitment to her profession was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of excellence and integrity.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joan was beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity. Her warm smile and gentle nature were testaments to the loving soul she possessed. Joan cherished her family above all else. She is predeceased by her loving husband Andrew, who stood by her side throughout their journey together. Joan was a devoted mother to Donna (Mark) Gouch and Karen Worytko, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their mother. In addition to her daughters, Joan leaves behind step-daughter Andrea, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Whether it was sharing stories around the dinner table or attending their various accomplishments and milestones, she treasured every moment spent with them.
Services celebrating Joan's life will be held on November 29, 2023. The Mass will take place at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Coram, NY at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Joan's memory at this gathering. The burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY at 11:15 AM.
Joan B. Ippolito may no longer be with us, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy as a compassionate, loving, and dedicated woman will forever shine brightly.
