Joan M. Mccarthy

McCarthy, Joan Madeline (Marsh) 83 of Deer Park, NY, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister and aunt died peacefully on Wednesday February 10, 2021. Joan was born into a big Irish family in Queens. She graduated from Richmond Hill High School and eventually moved to Deer Park where she lived for 60 years. She loved dancing and going to the beach. And she always made her sisters laugh. She was a long-time member of SS Cyril and Methodious Church and a past member of Our Lady of the Rosary Columbiettes. Joan was predeceased in 1984 by her loving husband Gerard McCarthy and her beloved siblings Phyllis (Donald), Elizabeth, (Donald), and Philip (Molly). She is survived by a large loving family: her children, Lisa (Charles Clark), Sharon, Joan (Frank Eck), and Gerard (Noel); her grandchildren, Meghan Clark, Kaitlin Clark, Chip Clark, Franklin Eck, Bridget McCarthy, Kayla McCarthy, and Julia Eck; siblings: Dorothy Lannon, Mary (Thomas Reilly), Robert (Marion), Peggy (Sal Cavarra), and many more beloved nieces and nephews.
Wake: Friday, February 11, 2021 from 4pm-8pm.

Funeral Mass: SS Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, February 12, 2021 at 10:15.
