John B. Maccio

April 8, 1944 — March 22, 2021

John B. Maccio of Dix Hills. Age 76. Beloved husband to Marilyn. Cherished father to Allison (Stephen) Kantner and David (Kate) Maccio. Adored Grandfather to Emma Maccio, Madelyn Kantner and Avery Maccio.
A proud veteran of the Vietnam era, John spent most of 1968 in Vietnam where he was heroically awarded a Bronze Star for his bravery.



John had a very strong Catholic faith. He served as head of the Catholic Ministries at St. Matthews Church in Dix Hills and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.



John’s true passion was his grandchildren, Emma (9), Madelyn (8) and Avery (7). He loved his trips to Disney World with them and watching them grow.
