John Bialt, Jr., was born July 20, 1947, and passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at the age of 71. Devoted son of Helen and John. Beloved brother of Cathy Silverstein (Charles) and Robert (Theresa). Adored uncle of Jason (Lani), Gregory, Nicole (Bobby), Jeanette, and Matthew. Cherished great-uncle of Veronica Cait, Robert Lucio, and Mallory Paloma.
Bialt, called Johnny by his friends and loved ones, graduated from St. John Fisher College in 1969 with a degree in philosophy, which was a lifelong passion. Within a year, Johnny voluntarily enlisted in the United States Army as a chemical, biological, and nuclear warfare specialist, earning a National Defense Service Medal. He worked for thirty-one years for the United States Department of Labor, receiving recognition for public service. During this time, Johnny also became an accomplished martial artist, earning a fourth-degree black belt in karate. Johnny was a devout Roman Catholic, making religious pilgrimages to nearly a dozen countries, and he dedicated much of his life to the selfless care of his mother, Helen, after his father's tragic death in 1988. Johnny treasured the people in his life and made their lives better however he could. His memory will live on.
